New Service | Full alloy wheel refurbishment service

In most cases our mobile repair service can provide long lasting, quality repairs to kerbed alloy wheels as well as early stages of corrosion. However, heavily corroded wheels or wheels that are leaking air due to corrosion on the inside of the wheels, which effects the bead seal on the tyre, require a full strip down repair and new alloy powder coating.

This process involves the following:

• Tyre is removed from the wheel
• Wheel is placed in a vat of acid over night to remove the paint/lacquer
• Wheel is bead blasted to remove any excess paint and corrosion
• Wheel is put through a heat cycle
• Wheel is primed in a powder coat
• Wheel is Wet painted (base coat to the correct colour)
• Wheel is lacquered and baked
• Tyre is re fitted and balanced
• This service can be combined with our Tyre Fitting Service

What are the benefits of using our complete wheel refurbishment service?

• Wheel is fully stripped of all its old paint, so we do not paint over stone chipped and damaged paint.
• We are able to bead blast the whole wheel which removes any corrosion and leaves the wheel keyed and clean and ready for the powder coat primer to be applied
• The whole wheel is then primed with a powder coat which means the wheel is completely sealed against road grime, brake dust and dirt.
• Wheels are painted in a controlled environment, which helps minimise any possible paint contamination with any airborne dust or dirt
• Wheels are finished in an acrylic powder coat lacquer which gives a longer lasting and more durable finish and will maintain a gloss finish for longer.
• Wheels are fully cured in an oven and are therefore fully hardened when they are put back on the car
• Costs the same as a mobile repair

Diamond cut wheels

We would also recommend this service on diamond cut wheels. The reason for this is that the cost to re-machine a diamond cut wheel can be around £100+vat depending on the style of wheel, also there are difficulties in getting the lacquer to adhere to a shiny un-keyed surface which means these repairs can have a short life especially if the lacquer gets chipped and water gets between the alloy and the lacquer (early signs of this is what's known as snow flaking, white spots under the lacquer)

Also this service is ideal for Black, White satin and matt finishes

This service can take between 3 – 5 days.
